The UPPSC exam is conducted in three stages for over a period of time which gauzes problem-solving approach of student, over to command over subject and then to personality as well. For qualification in preliminary stage one should get hands on good reference books and NCERTs. Making small notes of what is being studied always makes life easier later. Further one should always try to solve MCQs as many as possible, either themselves or through good test series by reputed coaching institutions. This allows a           candidate ample room to analyse their ability and further to hone their forte and to plug       their vulnerabilities. For current affairs regular newspapers in indispensible and for last time revision a reference material from coaching institution really comes handy.

For mains stage a holistic approach of student is needed. Choosing an apt optional is most important door to final success. It is always recommended that a student dovetail their optional subject with skill, interest and knowledge a student possess in that subject.                 For Succeeding in mains stage, practice of answer writing cannot be stressed more. More a student practices answer writing the more they are inching towards final success.

Personality stage checks demeanour and proactive nature of candidate. It is recommended that candidates come prepared with information related to their State, District they belong, hobbies,  current happening of State and Country etc. Apart from it a candidate should maintain composure throughout.
