The University grant commission(UGC) chairman Jagdesh Kumar recently announced on Twitter that the validity period of the JRF award has been extended by one year in view of the COVID-19 pandemic backlog for all those UGC NET qualified candidates whose admission process was affected due to COVID-19 pandemic situation.
NET-JRF e-certificates are issued usually with three-year validity which is now being extended till four years.
