About Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya
- Madan Mohan Malaviya was born on December 25, 1861, in Allahabad.
- He was a famous Indian scholar, educational reformer, and politician known for his major role in India's independence movement.
- He was given the title of 'Mahamana' or great soul by Mahatma Gandhi, who considered him as an elder brother.
- After working as a teacher during his initial days, Malaviya was drawn towards politics and joined the Indian National Congress (INC) in 1886.
- Later, he rose up the ranks and was appointed as the INC President four times in 1909, 1913, 1919, and 1932.
- One of the most famous slogans, 'Satyamev Jayate' was said by Pandit Malviya in the session of 1918 when he was the President of the Indian National Congress.
- He was also one of the early leaders of the Hindu Mahasabha and played a prominent role in its foundation in 1906.
