Context
As part of the Army’s initiative for Ladakhi youth, the Leh-based 14 Corps has launched a project to mentor and guide children from Ladakh for entrance examinations of various medical and engineering colleges across India.
About the Project
- Called the “Ladakh Ignited Minds: A Centre of Excellence and Wellness”, the project will be a full-time residential programme that will run a 12-month mentoring programme for children to take entrance examination of medical and engineering colleges.
- Agency: The Army would oversee the operations to include administration and logistics.
- Funding Partner: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) will be the funding partner.
