• The second edition of the Indo-Uzbekistan Joint Field Training Exercise, EXERCISE DUSTLIK-IIculminated recently, after 10 days of mutual learning.

About the 'DUSTLIK' Exercise

• The first edition took place in Tashkent, Uzbekistan in 2019.
  • This time it was the second edition of the exercise.
• It is important for the Counter Insurgency/Counter Terrorism operation.
  • It is significant with the point of view of security in the Central Asia Region which is strategically and economically important for India.
  • The exercise also provided an opportunity for troops of both Armies to foster everlasting professional and social bonding.
  • It is important to safeguard India’s support for stability in Afghanistan which is quite significant in many perspectives for India.
