- Madhya Pradesh so far has topped in implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendors Atma Nirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) by sanctioning an interest-free loan of around Rs 15.50 crore to 15,500 street vendors in the state.
- PM SVANidhi is a central sector scheme that was launched on 1st June 2020 to help and formalize the street vendors involved in small businesses across.
- The scheme is funded by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs.
- Under the scheme, financial assistance of Rs 10,000 is being provided without any interest from Banks for a period of one year to street vendors across the country.
