About the Alligator Gar
- The alligator gar ((Atractosteus spatula)is a ray-finned euryhaline fish that is the largest species in the gar family.
- It is one of the largest freshwater fishes in North America.
- Alligator gar is an aquarium fish and grown for aquarium.
- They become too big to handle and consume a good amount of food. That’s why were left in lakes.
- Threat: They are predatory, and are capable to wipe out the entire lake of its biodiversity.
